Our Practice
There are many types of facelifts available from a simple neck lift to the full (facial) facelift.
Dr. Papanastasiou can explain all your options at the time of your consultation.
The surgery is performed at our surgical clinic, under general anesthesia and can sometimes require an overnight stay.
There is swelling, which is apparent for approximately two weeks but there is very little pain. The patient can usually return to their normal activities at that time. Physical activity and exercises need to be avoided for 4 to 6 weeks.
As well, there is usually a gradual decrease of facial volume with age and volumization with either synthetic fillers or the patient’s own fat can make a significant difference. This will be discussed further in our section on non surgical solutions.
